Only the best of these barrels are chosen for bottling. Deep black cherry in color, this wine has a nose of black plum, roasted red pepper and violet. It is sophisticated on the palate, with robust tannins and flavors of dark berries, coffee, mocha and anise. Fruit takes a back seat on the finish, which highlights notes of spice and chocolate.
